Chaudhary Foundation hands over 60 transitional homes in Changunarayan

Kathmandu, July 14, 2015 –

Dear friends from the media,

You are already aware that the Chaudhary Foundation is building “Transitional Homes” for the people affected by the devastating earthquake. We have gathered here today at Changunarayan of Bhaktapur district to handover these shelters to the victims of the earthquake. I would like to welcome you to this occasion.

We had disseminated information at a press meet on May 8 this year that we will build these houses. It is our great pleasure today to handover these houses to the beneficiaries in your presence.

The Foundation is building Transitional Homes to the people affected by the earthquake in the most affected districts under the “CG Shelter” project. The 60 shelters in Changunarayan have been built under this project. We thank the United Group for supporting us in this campaign. Our thanks also go to the Ex-Police Association for local coordination.

Earlier, we had handed over 70 Transitional Homes to the locals at Machchegaun of Kathmandu’s Chandragiri Municipality on June 29. We are happy to receive positive feedback from the beneficiaries there. We believe these homes will be beneficial for the residents of Changunarayan as well.

We would like to inform you that we would soon be handing over 76 such shelters at Burungchuli of Lalitpur district Karyabinayak Municipality Ward No. 14, and Lukundole of the same municipality’s ward no. 15.

The building process of such homes under this project has started in Dolalghat of Kavre; Bhachu,Simalgairi and Belghari of Gorkha; BhusalGaun, Bungkot, Kumpur, and Nepal Gaun of Dhading; and Bhimtar of Sindhupalchok.

Lastly,

Thank you all for supporting the Chaudhary Foundation and being here at the shelter handover ceremony.
